Having been to many spas where we have had to wear a swimming costume or a bra and leggings under an open robe because it won’t close, we wanted to put together a list of plus size spa robes that you could bring to the spa yourself. Available up to a size 30, this robe is a little bit pricey at £65, but it does promise to be much softer than the standard spa robe, which can sometimes feel a little bit scratchy with its waffle texture. This robe is available in grey, blue or white, so you have the option to blend in with the other guests – though standing out can sometimes be fun. 

Grey Piped Waffle Robe – Up To Size 40

Yours Clothing is known for offering a fantastic sizing range, and this grey piped waffle robe is no exception, as it is available up to a UK size 40. The waffle texture makes it look perfect for the spa, though it might just be a little bit too soft and fluffy for the rooms which have more moisture. The price is a definite plus point – at only £25 (and a pay-in-three option) it’s worth giving this robe a go to see if it meets your needs, but bear in mind that it doesn’t have a version that comes in white.

Plus Size Spa Wrap 1X-6X Bath Towel Shower Snap Wrap – Up To Size 32

A fantastic alternative to wearing a robe as you walk around the spa, is grabbing one of these towels that have snappers sewn in, to secure them at the top. While this is great for knowing that your towel is going to stay secure and you can relax and be comfy and confident (and it even has a pocket for your locker key!), we do find that towel wraps aren’t perfect for plus size tummies, which can cause the towel to be more open towards the bottom. At around £50 and delivery from America, we’d definitely recommend making sure you’re well within the sizing so that you can enjoy your snap towel without stress.

Pretty Secrets Towelling Gown – Up To Size 34

Simply Be is another store that is great for catering to bigger plus sizes, so we were excited to see a towelling gown option available on their site. This Pretty Secrets towelling gown is pure white and super soft, with lots of length so it’s going to be perfect for people who find the typical spa robes too short. This robe is middle of the range in terms of pricing, at £30, but its worth noting that Simply Be does offer account options where you can spread payments, making this robe potentially more affordable. 

Personalised Womens Towel Robe – Up To Size 26

This is the smallest of our selection of spa robes, but we wanted to include it because it definitely feels like a robe that you would be given at a fancy hotel. This personalised womens towel robe comes monogrammed with your initials (or name if you’d prefer!) which makes us feel like it’s a little bit more special. You will look like you’re a regular at the spa – and what better excuse to become one! As we said before, this is the smallest robe from our selection, only going up to an XXL which is a 24 – 26, so it only just qualifies for this list. The robe also comes in colour selections of white, pastel pink or pastel blue, and is a steal at only £22.
